
About Your Role
As Academic Director, you will be responsible for leading the school’s academic vision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality curricula, and supporting faculty development. You will work closely with the leadership team to set strategic goals, enhance student achievement, and maintain the school’s reputation for educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a forward-thinking academic strategy aligned with international standards
Lead and mentor department heads (Science, English, Maths, etc.) to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives
Oversee curriculum design, assessment systems, and the delivery of instructional materials
Ensure continuous faculty professional development to improve teaching quality
Collaborate with school leadership to maintain the school’s academic and operational standards
Foster a culture of innovation in teaching and learning across the entire school
Monitor and evaluate student performance, and implement strategies for improvement
Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including parents and governing bodies
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Education or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in academic leadership or senior teaching positions
Proven ability in curriculum development, teacher coaching, and driving academic excellence
Strong background in leading teams, student performance management, and faculty development
Experience in working within international or Gulf-region schools is highly desirable
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
