Position Overview
As Head of Department, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, curriculum planning, and teacher development within the Science, English, and Mathematics departments. Your role will focus on enhancing teaching standards, supporting student achievement, and ensuring the faculty meets international academic benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for the Science, English, and Mathematics departments
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to improve student performance
Mentor and support teachers, ensuring high-quality instruction across all subjects
Oversee curriculum development, assessment methods, and resource allocation
Monitor student progress and implement data-driven strategies for improvement
Foster a collaborative and professional culture within the teaching team
Work closely with school leadership to align department goals with the school’s vision
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject plus teaching license
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)
Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong background in curriculum planning, teacher development, and assessment strategies
Ability to motivate and lead a team of educators across multiple subjects
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
