
About Your Role
Develop and implement creative and engaging mathematics lesson plans aligned with the British curriculum (A-Levels) and the school's mathematics program.
Teach mathematics to students in Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level, providing differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. A strong understanding of A-Level mathematics is essential.
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents, specifically in the area of mathematics.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love of mathematics.
Collaborate with other mathematics teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective mathematics program.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest mathematics teaching methodologies and subject-specific knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress, specifically in mathematics.
Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities program, potentially including mathematics clubs or competitions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level, including A-Levels.
A strong understanding of the A-Level mathematics curriculum is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in explaining complex mathematical concepts.
Strong classroom management skills, especially in a mathematics classroom setting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, particularly with other mathematics teachers.
Experience with the British curriculum is essential.
Experience teaching mathematics in an international school setting is preferred.
