About The Role
As a Male English Teacher, you will have the responsibility of teaching secondary school students the fundamental skills in both language and literature. The ideal candidate will not only deliver academic content effectively but also inspire a love for language, literature, and the power of expression. You will work closely with your colleagues to develop engaging lessons and cultivate a classroom environment where students are motivated to think critically, explore new ideas, and excel in their academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver stimulating English lessons, focusing on language skills, literary analysis, and composition.
Provide tailored guidance to students, fostering individual development in reading, writing, and oral communication.
Integrate creative and innovative teaching methods, making learning fun and impactful.
Encourage independent research and critical thinking through the study of literature, writing assignments, and collaborative activities.
Regularly assess student progress and provide detailed feedback to ensure academic growth and confidence.
Be an active member of the school community, participating in extra-curricular activities, parent-teacher meetings, and school events
Requirements
A BA in English, English Literature, or a related subject.
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA).
A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (international experience is a plus!).
Demonstrated ability to engage students through dynamic lessons and discussions.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in English language and literature.
