About The Role
As a Librarian, you will play a key role in managing and promoting the school’s library services, supporting students and staff in accessing a variety of educational resources. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating an engaging environment where students can develop their research, literacy, and independent learning skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the school’s library resources, including books, digital media, and educational materials.
Organize and maintain an accessible, user-friendly library space.
Assist students and staff in researching, selecting, and utilizing library resources.
Plan and run activities and programs to encourage a love of reading and learning.
Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
Promote literacy programs and encourage independent reading among students.
Stay updated with library trends, resources, and technology to enhance the library experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Relevant teaching or librarian qualification.
Minimum 2 years of library experience (international or Gulf experience is a plus!).
Strong knowledge of library management systems and resources.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A passion for fostering a love of reading and learning among students.
