Here are the typical requirements for a Nursery Manager to apply:

  1. Relevant Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field e.g. Cache L3, L4 but ideally Cache L5 NNEB, Diploma in Montessori.

  2. Relevant Management Qualifications: A M.Ed in Early Childhood education or equivalent.

  3. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience working in a childcare or early years setting, with sound experience in a supervisory or management role.

  4. First Aid Certification: Up-to-date paediatric first aid certification is often required.

  5. Safeguarding Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices, with relevant training completed.

  6. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including recruitment, staff development, and conflict resolution.

  7. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and national regulations regarding child welfare, health, safety, and educational standards.

  8. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies.

  9. Organisational Skills: Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including budgeting, record-keeping, and time management.

  10. Valid police check: A clean background police check, depending on the country.

  11. Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest practices in early childhood education.

Salary Package & Benefits

  1. Monthly Salary: Ranges from 10,000 AED to 30,000 AED TAX FREE ($3,000 to $6,000 USD), depending on the country, experience, and size of the nursery.
