Requirements to Apply
Curriculum Development: Design and develop dance lessons and programs aligned with curriculum standards, focusing on various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and cultural dances.
Instruction: Teach dance techniques, choreography, and performance skills to students, demonstrating movements and providing feedback to enhance their abilities.
Class Management: Maintain a disciplined and safe classroom/studio environment, ensuring all students follow rules and regulations.
Rehearsals and Performances: Organize and oversee dance rehearsals, productions, and performances, showcasing students' talents and progress.
Individualized Instruction: Provide personalized guidance and support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their learning needs and abilities.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other dance teachers and school staff to organize dance events, competitions, and workshops.
Evaluation and Assessment: Evaluate student progress through assessments, exams, and performances, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate with parents about students' progress, achievements, and upcoming events, fostering positive relationships and community involvement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous for higher-level teaching positions.
Certification: Valid teaching certification or licensure (e.g., QTS in the UK, State Teaching License in the US).
Experience: Previous experience teaching dance at various educational levels and settings is preferred.
Dance Expertise: Strong proficiency in dance techniques and styles, with a deep understanding of choreography and performance.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively instruct and interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
Classroom Management: Ability to manage a classroom or studio effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
Passion and Creativity: A passion for dance and creativity in developing engaging and innovative dance programs and performances.
Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development, keeping up-to-date with dance trends, teaching methods, and safety standards.
Salary Package
Average Salary: The average salary for a Dance Teacher in the UAE is approximately 12,000 AED per month.
Experienced Salary: Dance Teachers with 5-10 years of experience can earn between 15,000 to 18,000 AED per month.
High Salary: Highly experienced Dance Teachers with over 10 years of experience can earn upwards of 20,000 AED per month.
