Roles and Responsibilities

Requirements to Apply

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement lesson plans in morals, social, and cultural studies that promote understanding of ethical principles, societal norms, and cultural diversity.

  • Instruction: Teach students about moral and ethical values, social behaviors, cultural traditions, and contemporary societal issues.

  • Classroom Management: Maintain a respectful and inclusive classroom environment conducive to open discussions and critical thinking.

  • Use of Case Studies: Utilize case studies and real-world examples to illustrate ethical dilemmas and cultural practices.

  • Debate and Discussion: Facilitate debates and discussions on moral and cultural topics, encouraging students to express and defend their viewpoints.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students' understanding through exams, essays, projects, and presentations related to morals, social, and cultural studies.

  • Field Trips and Cultural Experiences: Organize field trips and cultural experiences to enhance students' understanding of diverse cultures and social practices.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers, schools, and community organizations to promote cultural understanding and ethical behavior.

  • Parent Communication: Communicate students' progress and achievements to parents, and engage them in discussions about morals, social issues, and cultural diversity.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, Cultural Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred for higher-level teaching positions.

  • Certification: Valid teaching certification or licensure specific to the region or country of employment.

  • Experience: Previous experience teaching morals, social studies, cultural studies, or related subjects at various educational levels and settings is preferred.

  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ethical principles, societal norms, cultural traditions, and contemporary social issues.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional languages are often an asset.

  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in using technology and educational tools to enhance morals, social, and cultural studies instruction.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively and engage with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Passion for Cultural Understanding: A passion for promoting cultural understanding, ethical behavior, and social responsibility among students.

Salary Package

  • Average Salary: The average salary for a Morals, Social, and Cultural Studies Teacher in the UAE is approximately 12,000 AED per month.

  • Experienced Salary: Teachers with 5-10 years of experience can earn between 15,000 to 18,000 AED per month.

  • High Salary: Highly experienced Morals, Social, and Cultural Studies Teachers with over 10 years of experience can earn upwards of 20,000 AED per month.
